The KTM 990 adventure is an Austrian made dual-sport bike in production since 2006. It has a liquid cooled, 2- cylinder, four-stroke, DOHC 999 cc engine with 114 hp. It has a top speed of 133 mph (214 km/h).
The 990 Adventure has been designed to fit the needs of riders everywhere. It's spectacular on the road and is just as likely to go on extended trips into the desert or dirt. The 990 has a wind screen, a large 5.2 gal (19.5 L) fuel tank, electronic fuel injection, engine guard, crash bars, 300mm Brembo brakes, wire spoke wheels and removable ABS. The frame is made of Chromium- Molybdenum trellis, powder-coated with Aluminium. The 990 Adventure is the most off-road capable travel enduro in the world.
The KTM 990 Adventure is listed in Bike Magazines 'The Indispensable Bike Guide', rated 4 out of 5 stars. Bike Magazine comments 'The most authentic desert-rally, round-the-world warrior experience' and 'Fast, flickable and fun on the road too'. In North America the 990 retails for $15,000.
