Café racer inspired mixed bread electric motorcycle: The SPA BICICLETTO

The world is always better on two-wheels so on a hot day, when you don't want to bring out the 800cc you can ride this.

The stylish SPA BICICLETTO (pronounced beetch-i-kleto) is a café racer inspired machine-mix between a bicycle and an electric motorcycle. It premiered this year at EICMA in Milan.

The bike is capable of a range of 120 km in assisted electric mode (pedal power) and 50 km electric only. The batteries fully recharge in 5 hours.

Constructed of carbon fibre, it weighs in at 24 kilos (52 pounds) but theoretically heavy for it's class. Speed is nothing to write your mates about: the arguably over-engineered e-bike, can do 16 mph - but who cares when it looks this damn good!

The system that manages the motor is found in the rear wheel. It's a simple rear geared hub, using a 36V battery pack located in the downtube, and power varies between 250W-500W (depending on the laws in the country of sale). The faux “gas tank” is a very useful storage compartment. The headlight assembly is a stylish LED we're seeing more on cars and modern motorcycles, but here, you'll be able to remove it for use as an expensive flash light. Under the seat there's visible rear brake lights and a set of turn signals activated by buttons on the handlebar ends.

The price is just as incredible, this limited edition e-bike will start at €8,000 - 10,000 euro ( $10,000 to $12,000 USD) and available in Europe at the end of 2015 and world-wide thereafter. Depending on the country, you'll need your motorcycle license to ride it.
