We've tried to make this as simple as possible. You'll need to start by giving your post a title. There may also be other fields to fill in. Everything is indexed so it all helps when someone is looking for it

Adding Media

You can add "rich" elements to your posts using the following buttons on the editor toolbar

• Add a hyperlink

• Add a photo (Everyone loves photos)

• Add a Video from the web

You can also embed other peoples posts from the sidebar. Hover over any item and click the re-use button ()to add it to your post at the cursor.

All embeds show in your edited post as a little grey box that can't be edited. This is because it's another story that will show up when someone else reads it. You can however remove any embed by backspacing the grey box.

Formatting your content

We use a format called Markdown to format on both web and mobile. As not everyone knows how to use that, the grey toolbar buttons can help. These include:

• Makes text bold. You can also surround it with two asterisks, so **hello** would render the word hello in bold. This can also be activated with CMD-b (OSX) / CTRL-b (Windows).

• Makes text italic. You can also surround it with one asterisks, so *hello* would render the word hello in italics. This can also be activated with CMD-i (OSX) / CTRL-i (Windows).

• Formats your text in a bullet list. You can also do this in markdown by placing an asterisk (*) in front of each item in the list and placing it on it's own line

• Formats your text in a numbered list. You can also do this in markdown by placing the number followed by a period (i.e. 1.) in front of each item in the list and placing it on it's own line

• Formats your text in a blockquote (makes it stand out a bit). You can also do this in markdown by wrapping the paragraph to be quoted in backticks (`)

• Undoes your last edit(s)

• Redoes your edits
