Ducati 1199 Panigale at the Drags Video

You can always rely on the Patterson brothers and Bunderry Ducati to find out how fast even a stockfish Ducati is down the quarter mile.  We have previously covered their Ducati 1098R drag bike, their 8 second Turbo Ducati 749 and Ducati Diavel.  Now its the turn of the Ducati 1199 Panigale S.

Wayne took the Panigale S to Fast Friday to see what it would do.  The bike was stock save for a full 70mm exhaust system.  Although the Panigale is hardly the ideal drag racing bike, Wayne got an ET of 10.18 despite having trouble keeping the front wheel down for half of the run and getting wheelspin towards the end!  He was rewarded with the runner up trophy for his troubles.

"I couldn't keep the front wheel down it was still up at about the 200 metre mark. You will here the bike starting to wheelspin at the end of the track as I got out of the groove a bit at about 125mph."

He'll be back again, next time with the bike lowered.
