The ride starts in Whitewater, Colorado and goes south along Highway 141. When you leave Gateway, you’ll notice the road gets even better as you follow the magnificent Dolores River and the wide canyon walls start closing in from both sides. Continue riding west until you get to Naturita, where you'll find the end of the route.

Although the road is open almost all year long, Spring and Summer will certainly provide a more pleasant motorcycle experience. Be sure to gas up before starting the ride—no gas stations until you get to Naturita. Watch for falling rocks along the byway and wildlife wondering around.
