#motosocial Ottawa an apparent success!

On Wednesday July 29th 2015, the famed MotoSocial decided to try Ottawa as a new potential expansion of the successful Toronto events.

From what I heard they thought maybe a dozen or so bikes would show up, I'm pretty sure they were wrong, while I never counted the total (it was pretty tough with all kinds of bike everywhere and lots in and out) I'd wager relatively close to 100 bikes stopped by The Ministry of Coffee (1013 Wellington St W).

The atmosphere was inclusive and no doubt confused the local residents and condo owners across the street, but everyone was talking to everyone, sport bikers talking to heavy cruisers, rat bikers talking to cross-tour/duals and everyone seemed to be having a great time.

The very nature of the event was unlike a lot of what Ottawa typically sees, as usually you'll have each type of bike closely clustered with the same, and there isn't a lot of intermixing. We've all seen it at our local cruise nights and nightly hangouts in any city. That was not the case here.

I am throughly looking forward to the next event they hold and seeing how it expands and engages the local Ottawa Community.
