Nun too good

A bit of a play on words, The Convent in Glen Innes is a great place to rest for the night. The rooms are small but very presentable with comfortable beds. Like many hostels, there are shared amenities. When I was last there - a little over a year ago - the bathroom and toilet needed a bit of sprucing up, but the shower had hot water and all the locks worked. The whole place is undergoing renovation, funded by the guests. If you're after cheap and comfortable accommodation in Glen Innes, look no further.
