This Book is in My Way

This book is getting in my way, literally (or should I literaturely). I've physically posted the remaining chapters of my book on the edge of my desk. It's a constant reminder of my remaining work, but it also acts as a measure of my progress to the end.

Annoying Myself to the Finish Line

I am on the home stretch for a release date in April and I am notoriously horrible for finishing things. I have to play all these games for me to finish a task, especially writing. I really enjoy doing it, but my mind wanders when I see a picture on the wall looking uneven and suddenly I'm remodeling my apartment.

I haven't been doing much riding, although I want to explore the beautiful northwest. I am too fixated on my past journey and I can't focus on even a short day trip without putting this to rest. The rainy days here in Portland make it easy to stay in and write though. It's a sock soaking blessing.

Writing this book has been a great journey for me, and I hope others can experience the actual journey through my writing.

Thanks for being patient everyone. Things have been quite around here, and they will continue until I've got this off my back. I am really excited to unveil it to everyone. This has been a work in progress for almost two years. Is that right? Two years? I got back from Latin America in March of 2011, and the book will be done in March of 2013, so yea. Two years. I don't think I would have appreciated or remembered the valuable things I learned on the road had I not written this book. Writing this book has been a great journey for me, and I hope others can experience the actual journey through my writing.
