Confused about time
Distance: 48.5 Km / 30.2 Mi Duration: 01:26:34
Not sure I can quite make out what the 'time' and 'total time' mean when I open each saved ride as these times don't seem right for me. Can anybody help?
I posted this from my app but I'm even more confused looking at this post online as it says I did 9km and took 16 mins but I did 48km taking 50 mins.
Now I've just saved my edited post, it says I took an hour and 26 mins!
Confused or what?!
[Now I just saved my re-edited post again, the route has changed and it's not even recording the actual route I took. Is there a program error?]

Hi Marina,
Thanks for the update. My actual time will never match my estimated time because Google thinks I;m in a car stuck in heavy city centre traffic. Nice at least to know I'm shaving time off Google's predictions! However, this still doesn't explain the 'Total Time' which, when I open the saved ride, is displayed as some 13 hours. What does this time represent?

Hey J, thanks for the note to ESR support, we got it! In this route you shared, the distance Google maps displays is "48.5km (30.1 Mi)".
The duration is displayed at 1:26:34 BUT that is not the time it took you to do the ride, it's the time Google thinks it should take to do the route. We NEVER publish your real time - that's private only to the device. The reason we don't do that is because your speed is private information that is never shared.
Now there could be a problemo with the time stamp when the GPS points were collected which could be a geo-mapping problem related to your location: Kula Lampur (very cool btw). We're on it. Check your email for more updates! Thanks man for the heads up on this one.
