Which Type of Horn do you have in Your Vehicle?

Sanger, California, United States

As with any other major invention in the world, automatic vehicles revolutionized the human lives in numerous ways. As we see our cities bustling with these vehicles plying on the streets and highways, these have become more like the lifeline of a human world. And creating a rather random music in the streets are the horns which warn the pedestrians and other vehicles moving on the streets.

There are many companies manufacturing horns for various types of vehicles. These include horns for motorcycles, cars, trucks, trains, and even ships. Train horns are quite different from other types of horns as they require air compression method to produce loud sound horns. Similarly different vehicles require different types of the horn in terms of frequency, loudness, and functionality.

Here are five common types of horns available in the market:

Manual Sirens: These sirens have a very wide range of applications. They are basically different from electric sirens and could be used for alarming during air raids, fire, etc. These come with a handle to hold the main device and have a complete metal body to produce the right kind of vibrations. These hand sirens could produce sounds of around 115dB.

Musical Horns: These are simple electric devices which come with a battery and a speaker. One of the unique features of musical horns is that these could produce different types of musical sounds and could be used for various purposes. The electronic musical horns are easy to install and come in wide array of musical sounds and songs and animal voices.

Electric Horns: Electric horns are available in the form of stainless steel trumpets. They come in sets and have to be assembled before usage. These horns could produce sounds of up to 125 decibels and the length of the trumpet could be anywhere around 13” to 15”. These electric horns are used in marine ships, boats, and outboards.

Air Horn: The principle on which these horns produce sounds is the same as that of our vocal cords. These are frequently used in early automobiles and uses fitted thin reed. On pressing the bulb attached to the horn, the reed would vibrate in order to produce sounds. Now, instead of thin reeds, many modern day vehicles use a powerful diaphragm to produce loud sounds. Air horns are generally used in trains which may have as many as five trumpets.

Viking Horns: These horns are mainly used in trains and produce high decibel sounds of up to 150dB. A Viking horn kit comprises of air compressors, air tanks, 2, 3, or 4 __trumpets having chrome metal plates and air hose. The horn manufacturers provide the installation guide to the buyers which could help in the easy assemblage of the horn.

@saniabaker425. This article is link building spam. It's about horns that no one would use for motorcycles (sans air horns.) no one calls a motorcycle a two wheeler which is an indication that you are not a rider. This article does not relate to motorcycles, motorcycle riding or the motorcycle lifestyle. It is not an educational article directly relating to the type of horns typically found on motorcycles. You have a client that sells horns or you work for a link farm and they are paying you to link build. I am a co-owner of a content writing/seo firm.... And everyone on the internet thinks they are a professional writer. Obviously I'm okay with content written to promote a product but this is an app dedicated to riding and I for one get tired of stuff that fails to relate to the topic. This is why I think everyone's riding stats should be viewable on their public profile. This way, we can see who rides and contributed to the success of this app and who simply wants to pollute it with nonsense.

What the hell is a "two-wheeler?" Does that singular phrase in this garbage post disqualify this from being a spam post... Damn this app really needs a report button to get rid of this junk.
