How to use the APP
I am looking for instructions for the app. I have tried to use it but have no idea what to do apparently. Where can I find instructions.

After installing it goes to the map screen, with a few options at the bottom. None of them allow me to add a route or any basic operation. Everything I've found online talks about a green "start" or "add" button but that just doesn't exist on the app I'm looking at. Unless I want to record a ride without choosing a destination, it's useless

Yeah, there seem to be no instructions on how to use it anywhere on this site. I've been scouring the web and found an outdated youtube video. Just going to delete it as it doesn't seem to have any instructions available. I know there are other options--hopefully they are intuitive (or documented). This one was recommended to me but I'm not sure why.
