Honda Two-stroke Top End Rebuild

Rebuilding a Honda two-stroke engine can be intimidating especially for me because I've never so much as understood how a motorcycle engine is assembled or why anyone whould take an engine apart. That's why I jumped at the chance to do the assembly with the help of a talented tech at the Indianapolis Dealer Expo.

Normally, the timer would be on and so would the pressure, but I asked to pass on the stop watch. There were obviously a few speed demons who did the top end rebuild. I'm told small children scored the fastest times. Of course, the person with the shortest time at the end of day received a new top end. Just kidding. I don't know what was won, but I had fun and learnt that putting a two-stroke top end together is not as arduous of a job as it may seem. Now, doing it and doing it right are two very different things.
