Norton Wasp - 1972 Commando with Italian and Japanese parts

Norton Wasp (1972) - Gray

The Norton Wasp was created 4 years ago and is owned by an anonymous member of Coyote Racing Team in France. Built by Daniel Delfour from Toulouse who took an entire year to create. The Wasp is a unique bike because it combines a Norton engine with parts from Italy and Japan.

The power comes from a 1972 Norton Commando 750 with an OHV, four-stroke, two valve per cylinder 745 cc engine with 4-speed gearbox. A Commando S donated the Mark II Amal carburetors, with high-level pipes. The custom-made frame used powder coated Reynolds 531 tubing, a fiberglass Rickman tank, and a racer seat. The Marzocchi front forks and 18-inch Borrani wheels come from Italy. The front nub is from Japan via a Yamaha TZ350 and Brembo front brakes from a Suzuki RG500. The rear hub is from a Benelli Tornado 650S and the bike is finished off with hand-made alloy parts.
