Post Fish 3

I was glad to be out of that Super H8TE and back on the road. Eastern CO on the I70 looks just like KS which looks like IL which looks like... I dropped the hammer and took the interstate like a champ. The heat was full on but my camel bak kept me alive. The only interesting thing I saw all day was a fire dept responding to a half burned TEXACO billboard and two bulls fighting in a field. I saw the dairy cows in the "field", as in mud, and surrounded by 15-20ft high piles of manure. This is where your milk comes from. When I lived in CA in the early 2000s I laughed at the commercials that said that good cheese came from happy cows which lived in CA- those cows had it worse than the ones I saw today. I've been eating light and consuming the snacks I brought in my pack at gas stops but now and then I need to eat solid food. I stopped and ate a burger for a late dinner. A girl named Emily who had freshly dyed blue and green hair served me. She had a sad smile and I wondered why.

I went till I was mentally spent and stopped at America's Best Value Inn- Kingdom City, MO. including tax $53~ for single bed. Good value, hot shower. 12hrs, 669.7mi
