2017 Calgary Motorcycle Show, Jan 6-8 at BMO Centre

The 2017 Calgary Motorcycle Show, hosted at the BMO Centre, Stampede Park on January 6-8, 2017, is the first stop on the seven city Canadian tour—the manufacturers’ showcase of all the new 2017 models.

Calgarians will be the first Canadians to check out hundreds of 2017 motorcycles, side-by-sides, ATVS and scooters from the industry’s major manufacturers.

She Rides

Opening night is a salute to the ladies. She Rides kicks off the Show on Friday, January 6th, all women will receive half price admission after 5:00 pm.

“Every year the number of ladies attending our Show grows, which reflects the trend of increasing numbers of women taking up the sport,” says Laurie Paetz, Show Manager, “ women are no longer willing to just be a passenger, and manufacturers are adapting by coming up with models more suitable to the female frame and stature.”

The evening will wrap up with one lucky lady riding away on a brand new 2017 Kawasaki Ninja 300 courtesy of Canadian Kawasaki Motors and Blackfoot Motosports. This bike is lightweight, agile and provides a super smooth riding experience.

Ground n’ Gravity at the Calgary Motorcycle Show

The Ground n’ Gravity show will feature ramp to ramp high flying action by some of Canada’s best MX Freestylers, as well as Keith Sayers and Nick Dunne from south of the border.

This year 11 time Canadian Superbike Champion Jordan Szoke will be demonstrating the dexterity and agility of Observed Trials, one of his many disciplines.

Yamaha Riding Academy

Kids between the ages of 6 and 12 can sign up to participate in a session that begins with expert instruction on riding technique and safety, and then has them gear up and take to the track to practice their skills, all in a controlled supervised environment.

Sessions are free of charge and run throughout the weekend, but space is limited so make sure to sign up early to reserve a spot.

Team Zeus – U of C

New to the Show is Team Zeus, a group of U of C students that build and race electric motorcycles. Their first ever race ready model will be on display.
