Conquerin' Algonquin Supercircle, Ontario

Distance: 150.5 Km / 93.8 Mi Duration: 01:45:32

The Conquerin' Algonquin route runs you through the fabulous Ontario Highlands, from Dorset to Barry's Bay. It’ll reveal to you some of the best of Ontario’s scenery without having to drive the dreariest of highways.

You’ll get a sweet taste of fun twisties and countryside in the entire province. South of Algonquin is spectacular country – especially in the late September-Oct period when the fall colours reach maximum voltage. Really a once in a lifetime thing to witness.

Where to stop

You can do Algonquin Park in many ways, from hiking to camping to bisecting it on your bike. All three are recommended.

I’ve stopped and stayed at the Wolf Den http://wolfdenbunkhouse.com on Hwy 60 every fall for the least three years. They have about the most casual and fun approach to accommodation you’ve ever seen. And they’re okay with bikes – as long as you’re not too much of a loud drunken idiot. They’re often booked solid, so plan well ahead.

Alternatively, there are lots of cabins and whatnot along Hwy 60. Get more story on the Highlands riding experience here: http://ridethehighlands.ca.
