Calabogie Boogaloo, Ontario #HD100

Distance: 190.5 Km / 118.7 Mi Duration: 02:42:12

Carve up the clear lakes, rivers and craft breweries

The Calabogie Boogaloo is a scenic loop starting and ending in Calabogie along some of Ontario's best known winding back roads.

If there’s one thing Ontario has, it’s endless, tar-infused ribbons of transport just waiting for the moto-cycle adventurer. It's doubly fortunate to have thousands of miles of wildly challenging roads for dualsport riders.

Southern Ontario is where all the big cities are. Just an hour or two out of most await some of the most gorgeous rides in the province. A taste of finest Ontario, this is a really top-notch loop, most easily jumped onto from the Ottawa region. Photo by NorthernOntario.travel

Where to stop

The Calabogie area is truly a motor-racing mecca. superbikes, motocross and autos. It hosts the legendary Calabogie Boogie, a two-day dualsport mudfest that runs in September. If you're craving some race track, check out Calabogie Motorsports Park.

The Calabogie Brewing Co. is also a must-stop. If you get carried away, there are a few hotels and motels to choose from in town.

For camping, a 300ft crag and amazing Ontario nature, check out Bon Echo Provincial Park on Lake Mazinaw. It’s popular though, so if you’re thinking of overnighting, book early.

@4rider8 Sure! You can start recording your ride anywhere along or near the route. There are virtual checkpoints along every #HD100 route, as long as you're able to hit at least 80% of these checkpoints and be actively recording your ride while doing so, it's all good.

And yes, when you do a Route Challenge, you receive points for both the route and the distance ridden. In this case, Calaboogie Boogaloo is 191km. If your ride records in total 250km you'll get your points for taking the 250km Ride Challenge, and if in the middle you did the Calaboogie Route, you'll get points for this one too.

@H-D®100 when I go ride the Calabogie Boogaloo, Ontario #HD100 do I have to start & finish at any specific point, or can I start anywhere along the route as long as I end up back there, to count? If my ride starts in Bancroft and I do the Calabogie loop then back to Bancroft, would this also count as a 250km ride as well as the special route points (double dipping)?
