Maverick Viñales has quickly risen to the top of the premier class and continues to develop his ever-growing international fan-base. From his Moto3 World Championship, to winning Best MotoGP Rookie in 2015 to his recent signing with Movistar Yamaha, Viñales has proven himself to be a real contender in MotoGP. (Especially on a Yamaha!). So it comes as no surprise that even before the young Spaniard won the first two MotoGP races of 2017, Arai, his longtime helmet sponsor announced plans to release a Corsair X Replica of Viñales' 2017 Helmet that he wore during the preseason.

While this is the helmet the 22-year-old wore during testing at Valencia after the 2016 season aboard the Yamaha, (where he happened to clock the fastest time around the Spanish circuit, even though it was his first time on the M1) nowhere on the helmet are there any sponsoring company logos (other than Arai). Instead the new helmet boasts a dark red, black and grey matte-color-scheme featuring his soon-to-be-classic "MVK" logo in oversized letters across the crown of the helmet along with the stars found on previous lids worn by the Spanish wonder-kid. The choice to not include any race numbers or sponsor logos make this helmet a more subtle option for use on the road while still looking pretty damn awesome. (He does wear a similar helmet with his #25 and Monster Energy Logos at the moment with th same basic design and colors). Arai has produced countless quality replica brain-buckets over the years but the 2017 Viñales helmet is one of their best looking designs to date, at least in my opinion. Albeit I'm admittedly a big Viñales fan, though I haven't liked any of his previous replica offerings.

It's only fitting that Arai's latest flagship lid, the Corsair X be the choice for this new replica offering from the iconic Japanese brand for the #25 Movistar Yamaha rider. Photos have been released though there is no definitive date that Viñales' 2017 helmet will hit the market, though Arai has stated somewhere around May or June of 2017. Nor has any official word on prices been released however we can confidently assume this beautiful new bucket should set you back $700-900, his previous replica helmet still sells for $881.96 on Revzilla.
