Trial X Free Riding On Top of Rio de Janeiro

Here's French Trial athlete Julien Dupont riding, climbing and sliding on the roofs, walls and railings of the neighbourhood of Vidigal in the south zone of Rio de Janeiro. It's a crowded place on top of a mountain where you'll find some slum, some art and the most awe inspiring views of Rio.

Dupont got into Trial riding by his father. When he was only 6 months old, his dad put Julien in a special back backpack as he rode his trial bike over whatever he could find. Dupont says it was the most traumatic experience of his life. He was hooked.

Trial X is a relatively new discipline using a Trial motorbike to do a series of tricks. Trial X incorporates all the urban sports like skateboarding, BMX, free-style motocross; mixing it all together in one sport.

The Trial motorcycle is very light and maneuverable making it possible to do a bit of everything like sliding, ollies, wall rides and jumps.
