Long road to Banff

Another weekend, another trip to Canada. To Banff this time.

This was the first trip with my new Aerostich Roadcrafter. They saw that the suit is stiff when you first wear it and they are not kidding. They also claim that it softens considerably after a few hundred miles and thankfully that is also true. I figured the best way to break it in was with a one thousand mile trip over the weekend.

The weather was perfect. I know I always talk about getting chilly and this will be no exception, but I didn't get too chilly really and it was only the last couple of hours.

New experiences this ride: A) Warning signs for deer, elk, big horned sheep and bear in one trip. 😎 Saw the bear that they warned me about right beside the road. C) Warning sign for avalanche zones. D) Free parking for my bike at the hotel. E) A Canadian boarder agent that was pleasant.

All in all a great ride and the weekend looked promising. I should have been suspicious instantly.
