66 year old Ralph Hudson sets world speed record on a motorcycle
Departamento de Santa Cruz, Bolivia
Sixty-six year old Ralph Hudson set a brand new motorcycle speed world record, reaching an average of an impressive 284mph. Ralph of Glendale, California became the fastest man on a sit-on motorcycle when he headed to Bolivia with his streamlined Suzuki GSXR1000 to complete the huge challenge in the Uyuni 3600 International Speed Race.

He owns a motorcycle shop in Glendale, and began his racing career in 1970 before taking a 28 year hiatus to look after his family.
Speaking to ABC 7, he said: "I said to myself, 'am I going to be the guy who always talks about doing this, or am I going to be the guy who actually does it?'"
And he actually went and did it.
Now the world motorcycle speed holder, he is determined not to stop there. "The goal is to break 300mph," he told ABC.
Ralph was later awarded for his record at the 2017 FIM Awards in Andorra la Vella, joining the likes of MotoGP champion Marc Marquez and FIM Speedway World Champion Jason Doyle.

@SuperchargeR I'd never heard of it either, it's the Uyuni 3600 International Speed Race I believe. He raced a Suzuki GSXR1000 (I've inserted a pic now showing the bike) ๐
