Ducati Teases New Ultimate Monster

Ducati plans to unveil its full 2014 model range in just over a week but the company is already teasing Ducati fans with the invite to the November 4th Press conference during the EICMA show in Milan.

Look carefully at the image above and we're sure you're looking at the new Ducati 1198 testastretta 11º powered Monster that has been the subject of an orchestrated 'leak' already.

Slow sales of the 1198cc version of the Streetfighter have resulted in the range being reduced to just the high spec S model (and that isn't even available in the USA, Ducati's largest market), clearing the way for a 4-valve high performance version of the Monster to return and sit atop the range a la Monster S4RS.

The engine is likely to be the now familiar testastretta 11º power plant as found in the Ducati Diavel and Multistrada 1200.  Expect 160 horsepower and thundering torque.
