Mount Baker, WA

Deming, Washington, United States

This was my first time taking Hwy 542 up to Mount Baker and it was awesome! The road is fun and twisty and was pretty clean. However the dips and frost heaves will keep you at a reasonable pace. And wow, the scenery was incredible with the turquoise blue of the Nooksack River and Mount Baker and the other mountains that fills up your entire view! 10/10 would recommend it! If you're Canadian, bring your passport and of course fill up stateside in Sumas, WA (Super Duper had the best price when I went)

I’ve done it from Vancouver BC the past 3 years, last year they were replaving the top 15 miles so that was unpleasant (tar, loose gravel, grooves) but it should be amazing now. It’s best to check the state forest website to see if the last bit up to Artists Point is open. They have to clear the snow
