Scooter Mods?

I've had my 2009 Yamaha Vino 125 scooter for almost 3 years at this point, and I'm curious if anyone's tried any mods on their scoots.

All the scoot websites advertise a crazy number of "performance" mods for scoots like Variator and Transmission Sets,exhaust replacements, and other magical replacement parts.

I'm not convinced hundreds of dollars of upgrades will make a significant difference, but I would love to know whether there are any real world advantages to things like improved torque and clutch springs and other parts that aren't snake oil for those hoping to get a few more miles per hour out of their tiny two-wheeled rides.
