What do you think of the new Aprilia?

Aprilia originally used the Tuareg name in 1984 on their 250cc Dual Purpose/ Trail bike, which morphed into a 350cc and then in 1988 a 600cc single. Now Aprilia has relaunched the Tuareg name using the 660cc Parallel twin from the excellent RS and Tuono 660, retuned to deliver more low down and midrange and slightly less power at 80hp. The colour scheme hints at the 80`s original too, although it looks to have much more off road ability than the original did.

Spec includes an 18 litre fuel tank, 5inch colour TFT dash, engine braking control, multiple engine maps, traction control and cruise control. Big 43mm USD forks and progressive linkage rear shock both have 240mm of travel, and ABS can be turned off at either end. Pricing still to be confirmed, but likely to be not too far from the RS660 and Tuono. It looks like it could be quite a weapon!

What do you think of it?
