See BMWs in Bare Bones Form at the Factory Tour

Berlin, Berlin, Germany

They say that it's not a good thing to see how sausages are made or you'll never eat another one again.

But luckily that doesn't apply to motorcycles.

It's one thing to see bikes that you love on the street and to ride them, but it brings the appreciation to another level when you get to see the magic of creation up close. That's the case with the 230,000 square-metre BMW factory in Berlin. You can tour it yourself or do so vicariously.

The good folks at Bike Magazine got the behind-the-scenes scoop on the people and process and robots that put the latest German two-wheelers together to get them ready for the road.

BMW constructed 157,118 bikes in the German capital and the company has factories in Brazil, Thailand, and China. You can get facts like this and much more by checking out the article here. It's an informative eye-opener that makes me want to book a trip to Bavaria.

If you're of the same mind, you can get a tour by booking online.
