To understand this, you only have to look at the V-rod. The first truly new thing HD have done in years and "regular" HD owners hate it. Too sad.

Crap - this guy is a bit extreme. I have met some people who totally fit into this category ( http://www.goingfaster.com/angst/noharley2.html ) but I have to qualify this with you, @teramuto, are not one of them.

I do like a few of their range (stripped down XR1200, please,) and understand they have a time and a place, especially on straight highways. But, and this is where the article is so prescient, it's the narrow mindedness of some of the HD followers that bothers me. Met one the other day and was talking about what I rode (Tiger 1050, Street Triple, KTMs for off-road) and their response was "you need a road king" - No I bloody don't...
