Santa Elena Canyon Ride via Ross Maxwell Scenic Drive, Texas

The ride along Ross Maxwell Scenic Drive in Big Bend National Park is jam-packed with sweet corners, offering nice vistas of mountains, an amazing variety of rock formations and the imposing cliffs that divide Mexico and the US.

Start at the intersection of Panther Jct Road and and head south for relaxing and scenic ride until you get to Santa Elena Canyon Overlook, where you’ll find the Santa Elena Canyon Trail and the end of the route.

The road is in good condition and features a nice set of corners and a few tight turns. There are many places along the road to pull off and enjoy the view of the parks. Please gas up before starting as there are no gas stations along the route.
