Daytona Beach, Florida is famous for it's miles and miles of sandy roadway but the main attraction that draws the riders each Spring is Bike Week.

I remember going to Daytona every year as a child while my father was a motorcycle dealer. There was never any guessing where we would be going for Spring Break because all the dealers went to Daytona. It's been a while and this year I'm going back all grown up and ready to explore the fun.

In the soirées of planned mayhem, riding is the feature activity. Although it's mainly a cruiser style event, bikes of all genres show up and show off. There will be Show n'Shines, bike parades, manufacturer test riding events, unveiling of the all new 2014 models, plus live music at social venues up and down the beach where riders will converge and instantly make new friends as they speak the international language of motorcycles.

On my personal schedule is test riding new models including the 2014 Triumph America 865cc, the Triumph Thunderbird Storm 1699cc, the 2014 Indian Vintage boasting the all new Thunderstroke 111, the 2015 Victory Gunner 1731cc and if all that isn't quite enough, I plan to throw in a couple of Harleys.

In fact, of the many activities currently scheduled for my Daytona Bike Week, the 8th Annual MDA Women's Ride on Tuesday, March 11the is also on the list.

I will be tweeting @MotorcyGal, and posting to my blog as well as posting here to EatSleepRIDE.

I will also be recording my rides using the EatSleepRIDE App and CrashLight. I also hope to meet up with some 'Riders Nearby' utilizing the ESR App. If you are going to Bike Week, be sure to leave a comment and I may feature you and your ride in some of my photos.
