MotoGP Stars Highlight 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is the drug of choice for all those addicted to motorsport history, present, and future. You can get your fix of all of it at one time in one place.

There will be plenty of MotoGP stars at Goodwood this year.

This year is no different when the event takes place July 13 to 16. 

The highlight, as far as motorcyclists are concerned are the bikes and riders, of course. The 2023 FOS will feature 10 current racers including reigning MotoGP champion Francesco 'Pecco' Bagnaia, Ducati, who will take to the Hill during the event.

In addition to Ducati, other racing teams taking part are GasGas Tech3, LCR, KTM, Aprilia, and RNF. 

Bagnaia's teammate Enea Bastianini and Ducati test rider Michele Pirro will be there along with Pol Espagaro and Augusto Fernandez for GasGas; Brad Binder and Mika Kallio for KTM; Lorenzo Savadori for Aprilia; while Raul Fernandez and Miguel Oliviera will be on hand for RNF. 

In addition to these current riders, there are going to be many former champions in the mix as well. A total of 32 world championship will be represented by Alex Crivillé, Casey Stoner, Freddie Spencer, Giacomo Agostini, Kenny Roberts Jr., Kevin Schwantz, Mick Doohan and Wayne Gardner.

You can't mention these champions without mentioning Wayne Rainey who made his triumphant appearance at Goodwood in 2022 to ride his 1992 championship-winning Yamaha YZR500. It was Rainey's first time on the bike since his career-ending racing accident in 1993.
