Great Pennsylvania Roads - PA 154

Distance: 49.7 Km / 31.0 Mi Duration: 00:49:51

This one is for the less faint-of-heart. The 154 threads it's way through a number of villages and farms. As such, the road can be gravelly and otherwise less than perfect.

Some of the turns can also be a little off camber, but for experienced riders it won't be a major problem as long as you're not treating it like a racetrack.

For me, the best option is to start in the North near Canton. The only reason I say this is it gives you a chance to stop by at the Forksville General Store. You can't miss it as it's by a very beautiful old covered bridge.

Not only is this a candy cornucopia, it's also home to Big Mikes Steak and Hoagies. You won't find a better sandwich in this part of the state and I thoroughly recommend the garlic fries.

If you can leave Big Mikes without over-eating, the run down through the Worlds End state park. As you'd expect, it's yet more stunning scenery, with some wonderful places to stop and swim. Take it easy through here, though. In Summer, this is busy
