The Suches Loop with its sweet twisties and magnificent scenery is definitely one of the best motorcycle roads in Georgia right smack in the middle of the impressive Chattahoochee National Forest and Blue Ridge Mountains. Often referred to as the Georgia's Dragon by locals, the road is a fun and technical ride with 50 miles of twisties! Seasoned Motorcycle riders will find the road challenging due to the elevation changes but everyone will take it slower to enjoy the spectacular scenery.

Get started at Dahlonega, the site of the first major US gold rush back in 1828, and go north on Route 60. Merge with US-19 and then turn right on to Route 180 or Wolfpen Gap Road where you'll encounter blind corners and steep elevation changes. When you reach US Highway 129/19 make a right and head south back to Dahlonega to complete the loop.

Ride on weekdays to avoid weekend and holiday traffic and watch for sand or loose gravel on the road after rain storms.

Consider stopping at Two Wheels of Suches at the intersection of Route 60 and Route 180, for a motorcycle campground, restaurant and bikers spot.
