"I am so happy to continue racing with the team of my dreams! Wearing these colours is an honour for me," Bagnaia said. "It's fantastic and a source of pride. Together with Ducati, my team, and all the guys at Ducati Corse, we've achieved incredible things. In these three more years (including 2024) ahead of us, we'll continue to give our best to achieve as much success as possible."
The Italian first signed on with Ducati when he competed with Pramac Racing in 2019. His first podium finish came in 2020 at Misano as he moved up to the factory Lenovo team. He narrowly missed winning the MotoGP title in 2021, finishing second  overall.
He broke through in 2022 capturing his first world title and made a name for himself as the first Italian rider to capture the MotoGP Riders' World Title on an Italian bike. He repeated the feat in 2023 thanks to seven victories, seven pole positions, and 15 podium positions.
The 2024 MotoGP season begins March 8th to 10th at the Lusail International Circuit in Qatar.
