Biker and Kansas City's Salsa King Is Badly Injured in Motorcycle Accident

I'm told that Howard and his motorcycle were pushed for a quarter-mile.
Howard Carney III sounds like a great guy - former Marine, father of five, former police detective, salsa dance instruction enthusiast, and motorcycle enthusiast.
Unfortunately, he was badly injured a few months ago in Miami, Florida, when he was struck from behind by a motorist who admits that we was distracted by looking at his phone.
Howard's sister, Angie Carney, rushed to Miami and stayed with him in the ER. She eventually lost her job back here in Kansas City, while waiting to accumulate enough funds to bring Howard home to KC, where all of his family is.
He is home now, thankfully, but the bills are mounting and the fundraising for Howard must continue.
I do NOT represent Howard. I can't. I don't have a license to practice law in Florida, where this accident occurred. However, his sister Angie Carney, has graciously allowed me to use Howard's situation to highlight the dangers of distracted driving, the importance of motorcycle awareness, and the importance of having the proper insurance to cover the devastation that can occur when terrible things happen.
