Day 2: tourist trap day

Okay, they were educational tourist traps. We visited Newport RI and took a tour of the Breakers mansion and the Rosecliff mansion. After that we took in the local topiary garden. After that we rode down to Plymouth and took the boat tour and saw the big pebble. Now we are spending the night just south of Boston. Taking the train into the city tomorrow and then onto Salem in the afternoon. Did a measly 205 miles with 5:19 in the saddle.

Boston, my old stomping grounds before moving to Charlotte. I'll send you a map location for the lobster place you need to ride out to in Maine. The view is amazing as is the food.

@AppEatSleepRIDE we listened to the audio tour they provided but some gossip recordings might have been more interesting. We missed the rain last night in mystic and today there was barely a cloud in the sky

Good weather for ride. The Breakers mansion is impressive. Appears to be the most visited attraction in Rhode Island. Hear you can get a virtual audio commentary from blunt, embittered retired servants and their children.
