Ducati will use this outing to gain practical experience and real-life competition data for the entire 2025 MXGP World Championship season.

The Desmo450 MX's development will continue apace on August 31 and September 1 at Castiglione del Lago where rider Alessandro Lupino will race in the fifth round of the Italian championship. Lupino leads the general class with a pair of rounds left to go.
