I'm loving my new 2015 Arai RX-Q Oriental Frost

Toronto, Ontario, Canada

"Holy shit. I love this helmet" is something my family is finding hard to keep hearing.

This is my third Arai RX-Q. Or at least I think it is. I’m sure it’s the same as my last two Profiles albeit with a slightly altered name. Either way, it fits me perfectly in a way that Arai’s always have and it has slightly better ventilation than my last one. That could also be due to the vents not being clogged with dead insects yet.

I tend to judge most helmets based on what they feel like when I’m wearing them. It ticks all the boxes in this regard, but the best part is when I take it off so I can look at it.

This is officially the 2015 Arai RX-Q in Oriental Frost trim. Yes, it might be a bit “busy” for some tastes or garish to others. If that’s you, I’m sorry for you. There’s something about the combination of flowers, dragons and Hokusai’s The Great Wave off Kanagawa that just speaks to my soul. I really could stare at it all day.

Which is great, as the riding this year so far has been non-existant. Luckily we'll be in Malibu next month and I'll get prolonged chance to see what it looks like in the wind.
