Ollie and Lavi set record for RTW ride

London, UK

They finally did it.

Ollie Gamblin and Lavi Scholl set out to be the youngest people to ride two-up around the globe and now they can say they've got their names in the record books for that very feat.

The folks at the Guinness World Records confirmed the accomplishment and its status as a record just recently. Thirty-three years 247 days is the mark and it may be some time before anyone sets out to challenge it.

Their bright yellow Suzuki V-Strom 1050XT motorcycle carried them 75,000km across 39 countries over 589 days. They started and ended at ACE Cafe in London, England to meet requirements for the record.

I'm not sure what's the more impressive feat, riding around the world or doing it as a couple. Because we all know that sometimes travelling - anywhere, any distance - with a spouse or partner can be very trying - very, very trying - even at the best of times. So thumbs up to Ollie and Lavi!

You can watch the video of their journey, entitled 'Happy and Alive' below.
