Reigning champion Jared Mees is looking to put his Indian FTR750 back in the winner's circle for another season while Dallas Daniels wants to capture his first title aboard his Yamaha MT-07 DT. It's been an incredible season in the 70-year history of the Grand National Championship. Over the 16 rounds thus far, the two title favourites have combined for 28 podiums and 13 wins.

The track itself could have a role to play in determining the outcome. In the most recent ten Springfield Miles, eight have been decided by less than a second. Of those eight, six have featured at least three riders within a second of victory, four with four or more, two with seven or more, and one with a full ten racers taking the checkered flag within a second of the winner.

In the Parts Unlimited AFT Singles championship chase, it looks like defending champ Kody Kopp has solid chance to repeat aboard his KTM Factory Racing 450 as he has a 35-point lead thanks to seven race wins this season. Only Estenson Racing teammates Trevor Brunner and Tom Drane have a chance to snatch the title on their Yamahas.
